[Video] ôCarebear sorrowsö + Trillion ISK In damage inflicted on the Care Bear community.
I think that may classify this movie as the true, ôMost expensive non-capital ship movie everö. Some of the shots in the video you can clearly see appoxamently 100B in mods from 2 of my major sales in the past.
So here it is... Those that know me know that I have been talking about making this video for ages. I had a decent amount of fraps footage when Lofty released his movie but I never really got around to making one (no time to learn Adobe Premier etc.). This week I deiced to just sit down and get the damn thing done in my spare time. Lofty, Bryg, Corn Meal, and Arrgg actually all used to bear gank out of an in-game chan for a while working out of different systemsà. Good times!
Some highlights on the experience:
òOver 120B Isk earned in loot and ransom theft.
òApprox 500M in damage to level 4 mission runners (note the kill board totals are modded to include the module drops and values into the total damage inflicted. However the ôTotal numberö is still largely off due to the fact that ôdropped itemsö were not included from the old kill mail system =[).
òOver 100 documented faction battleship kills. (the real figure is closer to 130, as many kill mails were stolen by NPCÆs, and self destructs). Many uber fit command ships and normal battleships, but I made the KB faction battleships only, just for fun.
I have been killing bears using this method for nearly 1 year, however I am a fairly inactive player. As my kill board will show, I generally play in spurts 1 month on then a take a few off (as the kill board will confirm). All in all I estimate the total damage inflicted took place in about 90 actual days of actual playtime.

20b is not very much isk if your a supercap pilot.
You are correct It was boring indeed, that's why i really could only take it in bursts (time on/time off). Fist i wanted enough isk for a mothership, then i wanted enough for a titan, after that i got burnt out again.

The only problem with uploading in to YouTube is the loss in image quality the video would suffer. One of the most entertaining aspects in this movie in my opinion are the chat windows and what is being said.
On youtube the video degradation would surely nerf the ability to read chat windows even when paused.
On another note, thanks for all the feedback (even trollsà they make me lol)! Also.. Very nice to see some of the old school pilots I have flown with somehow found the vidà Good to hear from you guys.

Life is not fair. Neither is EvE. As others in this thread have stated "This is a game" perhaps you should learn to differentiate EvE from real life, it may prove beneficial.

Turd Biterà Normally I would not waste the keystrokes to respond to such an obvious troll, however your dedication to the troll arts in this thread have intrigued me (plus IÆm bored in the office, you know how that goes lol).
I am going to tell you a storyà A story of how this movie came to be.
At first there I was another bored EvE veteran feeling like I taken in all the game had to offer (mission running, pirating, low-sec carebear grieving [when probes actually worked to triangulate missions this was LOADS of fun], small gang pvpà etc etc) .
As do many others do I would log in to change my skills, maybe chat up an old corpie from time to time never actually playing the game. Interest in EvE was nearly non-existent. Then I remembered an idea I once had to make iskà killing missions runners. In those days I never knew of the ôLofty techniqueö so what I used to do was actually take the time to make bears join a warring gang so I could kill them with my alt ( I called this the 2 man technique) You simply get a bear to join a warring gang (many were stupid enough to click so quickly the would not see the warning, also this works because the ôGang member Dodgyö message is not as noticeable as ôJoin Warring Gangö ) I killed maybe 20 faction battleships this way before the day I met Lofty.
Lofty convoed my baiter toon to try and kill me using his method (Unknown method to me at the time) As I was suspicious, Instead of warping in my kitted bait CNR I warped in a buzzard to feel out what was going on. A friendship was born.
At this point I had made 30 Billion or so and I had never frapsed a kill. I had no intention of ever making a movie. A few of my close friends knew what I was doing and kept pushing me to FRAPS! FRAPS! FRAP! so I started. At first I just wanted enough isk for a mothership, then when I hit that marker, a titan. Then one day I realizedà WTF I have 120GB of fraps. That was the moment I realized there was no turning back, one day I was going to have to make a movie. Like it or not, I had achieved something epic in EvE and I thought it would be nice to share it with the community in the form of this video. I set my sights on 100 Faction battleship killmails as a target number to quit bear killing and make a movie, and here we are.
Now to address some of your statements:
òEx carebear: Yes I admit like most when I started the game I was once a carebear lol.
òPatrick Bateman: Funny you mention that, IRL I you could actually compare me to that guy (minus the delusions). I live a fairly similar life. I step on people to get ahead when necessary.
òCasual gaming (no time for PvP): Correct while I was ganking bears, my focus was pinned at 100% on this project, I did nothing else in EvE during this campaign.
òThe pictures on the website: Hmm, well the drawing on girls thing actull happened over a long period of time. In my old corp I would sometime

No lol Don't own own just yet... Sometimes I like to rent them for the weekend when i'm on vacation to beat the crap out of them \o/. That 360 in the picture i actually BROKE from pounding on it... Engine cut off and would not start back up, they had to pick it up in a flatbed. Took it from Ft Laudedale, FL to Miami down I-95 a few times. Got into a sick race with 3 bikes the last time at ~2am. One day i'll own one, but not yet :D.

When a grain of sand that the oyster (or forum mod) accidentally ingests (or stumbles on a gray area post after 50k views) it gets embedded somehow on the inside of its shell (or baby maker) the oyster (or Mod) surrounds that something with countless layers of mother of pearl (or nerf) to produce a rare and precious jewel (or dead epic post).
Oh, please Mr Sandy, can we please have the links back? What was the main reason the KB link was not allowed in the movie? It's not like the link was posted directly on your forum... You removed the link from the actual post on day 1. Why wait 50k views to remove the movie links? Did a fellow sandy just recently become agitated? Was it the pictures that offended?

I really am rather upset that my links got mitnaled, sigh. If only there was a way to rise up against this type of bonehead post nerf. I mean come on... 4 months into the post, 50,000 views later it is deemed unacceptable to have a link embedded in your movie? Where does the "no KB linking" rule end? What if i link to a site, that links to another site, that links to another site with a KB link? Is that still considered linking to a KB? If i post a movie with a link to a site, than that site has a link to a KB it is still considered linking in the eve forum?
EVE-Tube is cool and all but i don't think you can really see the bear lol-chat. The lower frame rate also takes away from some of the flashy suicide frames stuck in between the faction battleship explosions at the end.
Now that CCP has put an end to the mechanic that permitted this technique, this video could really serve as a sort of museum piece dedicated to a time honored method of slaughtering fat-and-happy, untouchable care bears. Think of all the lol posts the method caused in C+P!
